Below are some samples of my much loved shots and the briefs I received with them.

'In the style of...'
As part of a monograph surrounding the theme of weddings I was set a small brief which consisted of picking two photographers/artists and replicating their style in a shot of my own.
The two photographers I chose was Francesca Woodman and Andy Warhol.
(Click names to see the pieces I was influenced by!)
The photograph above is presented in the same square format that is seen in many of Woodman's work and holds the strong essence of emotion - even though the face is cropped out. The piece is simple but somehow tends to tell a story still. The mixture of black and white tones work really well in making the viewer explore the image bit by bit.
The two pieces above are presented similarly to Andy Warhol's 'photo-booth' pieces and work really well in telling the story of a woman getting ready for her wedding ceremony. The piece runs vertically in telling the story (as it would if being a real photo-booth print) and is presented in soft tones of grey and black. Although this relates to the piece it was inspired by as Warhol is most famous for his pop art pieces I added various colouring to the piece as an extra edition to allow the public to relate it back to his work more successfully.
Along side the pieces above I was also asked to produce a photograph showing my own 'style'. For this I chose a shot taken previously at a wedding of the Bride's flower bouquet.
The reasoning behind this choice was simply as the small details are often one of the most thought about things when planning a wedding, yet on the day it's often the one thing that is passed by and not noticed thus making it really special when captured.

'Textures'
As part of the same monograph I was also set the task of producing 50 textures relating to weddings in some way whether it be their surroundings or linking to the emotions felt on the day. Here are just a few:
